I have long known that I have a hereditary resistance to cold and flu viruses (my father is the same way). I have constantly been exposed to coworkers and roomates (and undoubtedly customers) who have had COVID 19. I have been tested multiple times and continue to be tested regularly and my results are always negative.
My 80 something year old grandmother did get COVID 19. She is a black woman, obese, sedentary, has COPD, and lives in an assisted living facility. She was asymptomatic and recovered fully within a week and a half. (Why?)
I was curious to find out whether there are some people who are just naturally resistant to COVID 19 and why. It seems that it's a combination of genetics and immunity acquired through exposure that is the "magic forcefield". Scientists suspect that an individual's T cells may be the determining factor between who gets sick and who does not.
Of course, there's a slim possibility that I could still get COVID 19 but at this point I believe it's unlikely.
